How did Kohi-nor diamond come to Queen Victoria.

According to Lady Broun-Lindsay of Colstoun ,the daughter of Lord Dalhousie , her father Lord Dalhousie having ‘acquired ‘ the Kohi-noor diamond, brought it to the UK in his waist coat pocket before presenting it to Queen Victoria .

Lord Dalhousie was the Governor General of the Punjab at the time of annexation of the Punjab. According to Dr G.D.S Beechey the grand nephew of George Beechey who was the painter of Maharaja Dulep Singh’s portrait that was commissioned by the Queen, he gives this information in a letter written on 19th May 1992 addressed to Gurbani Centre UK.
