The traditional Khanda is shown with yellow background which is a bright happy joyful colour. It is also a symbol of courage and hope. The pink colour behind the yelp depicts unconditional love.

Nishan Sahib
This flies up in the sky blue sky with white representing the clouds. Hence the white and sky blue colour. The sky blue colour also represents peace and tranquility.

The Gurudwara
This is seen with purplish or violet red . It is a colour of spiritual fulfillment and peace of mind.

Golden Temple.
The Golden colour of Darbar Sahib is shown with maroon reddish background as symbol of happiness.
